Return Policy -
This policy applies to all transactions conducted at Tactical Defense & Security locations and online at www.tacticaldefenseandsecurity.com. This policy supplements but does not replace any federal, state or local laws, including those governing firearms and ammunition.
1. General Merchandise (Non-Firearm, Non-Ammunition)
Returns accepted within 14 days of purchase with original receipt, unused condition, with tags still attached, and to the original payment method.
After 14 days, returns may be accepted on a case-by-case basis at our discretion and only in the form of store credit after inspection.
Customer is responsible for shipping/return postage unless the return is due to our error or a documented defect.
2. Firearms (New & Used)
No returns once the firearm sale is completed (i.e., after FFL transfer and delivery).
New firearms may be returned only prior to transfer. If a sale is cancelled before transfer, a $75 transfer cancellation fee shall apply (to cover paperwork and administrative costs).
Manufacturer defects or warranty claims will be handled through the firearm manufacturer whenever possible. Tactical Defense & Security will assist in processing such claims but is not liable for refund/return of a firearm due to defect.
3. Ammunition
All ammunition Sales are final. No returns or exchanges under any circumstances except as required by safety or regulatory law.
4. Accessories & Gear
Accessories and gear (holsters, optics, tactical apparel, mounts, etc.): returns accepted within 14 days of purchase with original receipt, unused, in original packaging.
Open electronics (optics, scopes, watches, electronic accessories) that are returned without defect may be subject to a 10-15 % restocking fee.
Items returned without receipt may be accepted on a case by case only for store credit at current sale value, subject to inspection.
5. Refunds, Store Credit, and Fees
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of approved return (for eligible items).
Returns without receipt => store credit only. (case by case)
Restocking and cancellation fees apply as noted above.
Shipping/return costs borne by customer except when we caused the error or item is defective.
6. Sanitization / Safety / Online Returns
Any returned firearm must be unloaded and safe for inspection. Tactical Defense & Security reserves the right to refuse any return if the item is unsafe, modified, shows evidence of criminal use or misuse.
For online purchases (non-firearm items): The customer must contact us within 7 days of delivery to initiate a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process. Please call 239-777-3768 and ask for a manager. After authorization, you may either bring the item to a store or ship per our instructions. Do not ship firearms or ammunition directly to us without prior authorization.
7. Compliance & Modification
This policy is subject to change to comply with federal, state, or local statutory requirements, or for operational reasons. The current policy posted at our store and website will apply at the time of purchase.
